Come join us for an amazing summer filled with theater! ACTing Up is Argenta Contemporary Theatre’s acclaimed three week summer program that culminates in a fully staged production. This year for ACTing Up we are so excited to announce we will be producing SHREK Jr.!

The first few days of camp consist of audition prep for Shrek Jr, auditions, workshops in different aspects of performing arts including stagecraft, TV/Film and more. Students will become familiar with the many aspects of theater and learn basic techniques and skills, separated by age groups. After the audition day, students will then begin working exclusively with their track instructors (performance or stagecraft). Students who select the
theater track will be cast in the production, stagecraft track will be building the set, designing the costumes and more. Track selections will take place WHEN YOU REGISTER this year. Auditions will be held for the performance track students the first few days of camp. The production days, June 25th, 26th & 27th, will have later call times due to the performance schedule, and will be announced at a later date.

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Days: Mondays – Fridays
Tuition: Early Bird Registration: $625* // Registration after January 6th, 2025: $725* (Please note that due to the high demand of the camp, there is a $100 Non-refundable deposit is due at the time of enrollment to ensure your student has a spot)

Performance Dates: Wednesday, June 25th, Thursday, June 26th, and Friday, June 27th 2025.

  • No audition required.
  • Camp size is limited.
  • Tuition includes lunch and snack provided each day, an ACT water bottle, a t-shirt, a script, and all other materials.
  • Students are required to attend all classes, especially the final three performance days.
  • Drop off begins at 8:00 a.m. and pick up ends at 3:00 p.m. for all camps days, except the final three performance days.
  • Two weeks before classes begin, students will receive a welcome email detailing class specifics.
  • Please note that due to the high demand of the camp, no refunds will be granted. We can
    use the tuition credit towards another Summer 2025 Camp or Fall 2025 Class if you have
    registered and can no longer attend. The deadline for tuition credit is May 1st, 2025.

*Full and partial need-based scholarships are available upon application. Payment plans are also available. To apply, please email bdavis@argentacontemporarytheatre.org.
